Conference Organization and Topics

The 5^th International Symposium on Digital Earth is co-convening with the 2^nd Annual Virtual Globes Conference (www.earthslot.org) and will be organized on two major themes:

A – Science and Technology, June 5 through 7

B – Visualization and Community, June 8 and 9.

Topics will include the core topics listed below.  Attendees are encouraged to submit their concepts on the cutting-edge Digital Earth related research and development.  Please refer to the following category listings for suggested areas or submit original suggestions:

Publications

Symposium Proceedings will be provided to all full-fee participants.  In addition, selected papers will be considered by the Editorial Board for the premier edition of the International Journal for Digital Earth.  This peer-reviewed science journal will be launched at the Symposium and published 4 to 6 times annually.
